Internet Economic Library

Project was initiated by HARVARD UNIVERSITY UKRANIAN PROJECT

Internet Economic Library covers wide range of research of Ukrainian economy in transition period. Economic Library contains publications; analytical articles devoted to the transition period of Ukrainian economy since 1996 year. The library was established during the period of Harvard Ukraine Macroeconomic Projects. Library is regularly updated by new publication of CISP (Center for Information and Social Programs) consultants and partners from Yale University, Harvard University, Oxford University, independent pendent research centers of Ukraine, National Bank of Ukraine, Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine, Ministry of Economy. The library contains publications of the following directions:

    European Union Integration “Analytical monitoring”

    The project implies analytical review of materials devoted to the European integration of Ukraine and development legislative initiative on this base by development and proposing to Ukrainian Parliament package of laws accordingly to EU/WTO rules. The project was initiated and requested by the Ukrainian Consulting Group. The project is targeted to organize an open dialogue between regional business circles and the Ukrainian government, to promote the European Union ideas in the Ukrainian regions, and to integrate to the European Union on the level of regions of Ukraine.


    Analysis of WTO accession on the example of China and Taiwan.

    The idea of the project is comparative analysis of economic and social impact of WTO accession for these countries, and development on their base possible scenarios of WTO accession for other countries with different economies like Taiwan – high level industrial economy, oriented on the using of the latest achievements of science and know how, and China’s economy – fast growing young economy with strong rudiments of rural economy.
    The project was implemented in deep collaboration and on the request of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine.


    Sources of Gender Stereotypes in the Ukrainian society

    Main project goal:
    preparation of a questionnaire form and conducting a questionnaire survey among high school-aged children for the purpose of the analysis of original sources of the occurrence of male dominant in the Ukrainian society

    Project objectives: promotion and promulgation of ideas of gender equality in Ukraine; raising and supporting the issue of gender equality in the society as the basis for initiation of laws for the purpose of the true democratization of society.

    Project expected outcomes:
    1) preparation of a questionnaire form and approbation of the processing methodology as tools for the analysis of sources of gender stereotypes in the Ukrainian society;
    2) creation of the analytical and information base for the prolongation of the law initiation process in the field of gender equality;
    3) promotion and promulgation of gender equality in Ukraine; and
    4) bringing up the problem of gender equality in the society as the basis for initiation of laws for the purpose of the true democratization of society.

    Project target group: the target of the project is to render an informational support for Ukrainian women and gender organizations (Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine); the questionnaire form to be prepared would help to define actual reasons and sources of tender equality in the Ukrainian society (Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine)

    Main project activities:
    a) preparation of a questionnaire form and approbation of the processing methodology as tools for the analysis of sources of gender stereotypes in the Ukrainian society
    b) filling the existing information gap by boosting the activity and promoting Ukrainian regional gender organizations
    c) creation of the analytical and information base for the prolongation of the law initiation process in the field of gender equality.

    Internet Gallery (E-Commerce)

    The main idea of the project is to develop civilized market of the arts in Ukraine. The project implies electronic commerce, which is rare for Ukraine and especially for works of art market in Ukraine. The target of project is the promotion of progressive ideas of contemporary art; discovering and promotion of new names; conducting exhibitions, festivals of arts, training sessions; making Ukrainian contemporary art available to the world. The project implies establishing international artist’s links. Within the project the Ukrainian artists exhibitions were organized in such countries of European Union as Germany, Italy, Lithuania, countries of ex-Yugoslavia. Internet gallery contains up to six hundred of works of contemporary Ukrainian artists and around three hundred of articles, reviews devoted to problems of the contemporary Ukrainian art.
